Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I have to pay for an estimate?
- The first 15 minutes of an estimate is on us. After that we do charge a nominal bench fee for further investigation.
- What are bench fees?
- Bench fees cover the time, shop supplies and parts that go into repairing your valuable consoles.
- Certain repairs are a catch-22 and only after our time is invested do we know if the repair was a success.
- We will always mention the bench fee to you before work begins.
- What do bench fees cover?
- If your console requires an extended period of time for assessment or service, a $20-$40 bench fee will apply to cover the parts and time spent on the repair attempt.
- Do I get warranty on repaired consoles?
- Our services and parts all come with a 90 day no-questions-asked warranty. We believe in the quality of our work so much that we offer a lifetime warranty on all workmanship.
- What happens if my problem comes back within the warranty?
- Our promise to you: If a console fails within the allotted warranty period with the warranty sticker intact, we will repair it again for free.
- If for whatever reason we are unable to repair your console, it will be treated as an un-repairable console.
- What happens if my console is un-repairable?
- In some instances, consoles simply cannot be repaired. It’s obviously a major bummer when it happens but we do need to charge our bench fee to cover the materials and time that have gone into the repair attempt.
- Consoles that are deemed un-repairable within the allotted warranty period will receive a refund minus our bench fee.
- Alternatively, your refund can also be put towards one of our fully refurbished replacements.
- Do I need to bring my cables and controllers?
- Unless you suspect there is something wrong with them, there is no need to bring your cables/controllers to the shop. We have all the necessary testing equipment at our shop.
- Can I mail in my devices?
- Of course! See our mail in page to get the process started.
