Wow! Thank you everyone for the huge support since our re-opening! It has been so busy at the shop that we are modifying our hours so that we can focus on backlog of repairs we currently have! Please note that until further notice, we will be closed on Thursdays. Thank you all for you understanding.
We are excited to announce our re-opening scheduled for May 19th! Please note we are expecting to have a significant backlog of customers coming in so turnaround times may be longer than normal.
VideogameRepairs will be taking all proper precautions in order to provide all our customers with a clean and safe environment. As such, we will be implementing new protocols to combat COVID19. We will be limiting our store access to 1 customer at a time, and request that customers form a queue in the hall if there is already someone ahead of you. Additionally, we ask you to limit your party size as much as possible. We will be implementing daily decontamination measures of all public spaces in order to further reduce any risk of exposure.
Stay safe everyone!
I personally have this model of microwave as part of a combo unit installed at our house and was very disappointed to have the display go on me after only a few short years of ownership. It progressively got dimmer and dimmer and dimmer until it was barely visible even at night time. Replacement panels are no longer available so there was only one path left to take – fix it myself! After pulling the unit out and getting access to the display, it became very clear that it was a circuit board issue (namely capacitors). I replaced all of them on my board and voila, bright & beautiful display again! If you’d like to get this service done, please mail in your board to us via our mail in page. If you need help getting it out, get in touch and I will make quick video for you on my own microwave. The repair cost for this job is $200+ tax inclusive of parts and labor.
With all the craziness that is happening right now regarding Covid-19, I’d like to reassure our customer base that we are still hard at work repairing your devices and our open hours haven’t currently changed – we are kind of a critical service amirite?!
But in all seriousness, I would ask that individuals coming to our shop please minimize your party size and respect the social distancing practises that we have all be advised to implement. We have modified our procedures to spray every console that comes through our shop with a 95% isopropanol solution to kill any surface bacteria/viruses. Please do not visit the shop if you are exhibiting signs of illness as you will be asked to leave for the safety of our staff and other customers. This is a fluid situation and things are subject to change as we learn more about the progress of this pandemic. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
